Detroit HBCU Network Family and Friends,
We invite you to contribute to our “Class is in Session” Scholarship Fund and help us make a meaningful impact on HBCU students!
Our scholarship is like no other. NO ESSAY, NO SPECIAL TALENT, NO GPA. The scholarship is based on the following:
1.The impact your HBCU has made on them as a student and lessons learned.
2.The impact they have made on campus so far and future plans moving forward.
3.Preparation for life after graduation.
Thanks to your contribution in 2024, we were able to award eight deserving HBCU students from Metro Detroit each a $1,000 scholarship for the fall semester. Our current scholars attend Central State University, Clark Atlanta University, Florida A&M University, and Howard University. For 2025, our goal is to exceed the record of eight scholarships and we need your help to make that happen.
There are certain dates in life that symbolize growth, achievement, and unforgettable memories. Some dates are etched into our minds so clearly that we can recall them instantly. Perhaps it was the day you completed your undergraduate studies and set out to chase your dreams. Maybe it was the year you crossed into your fraternity or sorority. Or, maybe it was the year you met your future spouse at your illustrious HBCU. Whatever the reason, we hope it inspires you to give back.
In order to raise funds initiated our “My Date, My Dedication, My Dollars” campaign.
For example, if you graduated in 1997, your donation would be $19.97. It’s that simple and if you're feeling extra generous, don't hesitate to move that decimal to the right!
Every “DEDICATION” of your “DATE” in the form of “DOLLARS” counts. Please consider giving today and encourage others to join in!
Thank you once again for you continued support.
