We are excited to announce that the 16th Annual Detroit HBCU Weekend will be taking place from August 1st to 3rd, 2025. This event is a celebration of education, legacy, unity, and service, bringing together alumni, students, parents, and friends from the nation’s historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). With alumni and students from 107 colleges and universities, this event provides a unique opportunity for your business or organization to connect with a dynamic and engaged community.
The success of last year’s Detroit HBCU Weekend was made possible by the increased sponsorship from various corporations, black- owned businesses, organizations, alumni and friends. The majority of those businesses and organizations are owned and operated by local HBCU graduates. Your generous financial support was crucial in relaunching our Care Package Giveaway. Thanks to your contributions, we distributed 100 care packages to students, providing an opportunity to engage with them and hear their stories while they volunteered and received their packages. Additionally, our inaugural "Detroit HBCU Honors" event was a resounding success, thanks to your support. Lastly, your support along with our year-round donations from alumni and friends we were able to provide eight HBCU students from Metro Detroit, each a $1000 scholarship through our inaugural "Class is in Session" Scholarship fund.
To continue the growth and success of Detroit HBCU Weekend, we are reaching out once again for your sponsorship. Attached is our updated sponsorship package for 2025, which features increased benefits at each sponsorship level. We also encourage you to share this opportunity with other businesses and organizations that may be interested in becoming part of Detroit HBCU Weekend 2025.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to partnering with you again to make this year’s event even more impactful.
