For 20 years, the Detroit HBCU Network has connected Metro Detroit students, families, alumni, educators, employers, and community partners to the transformative power of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Through Advocacy • Awareness • Alignment, we help students discover their possibilities, connect families to trusted HBCU resources, mobilize Metro Detroit's HBCU alumni community, and create pathways that lead from Detroit to HBCUs - and from HBCUs back to opportunity.

AWARENESS - We introduce students, families, educators, and the broader community to the academic excellence, culture, opportunities, and lifelong value of HBCUs.
ALIGNMENT - We help students identify HBCUs that align with their academic interests, career goals, financial needs, and desired college experience while connecting alumni, institutions, employers, and community partners around shared opportunities.
ADVOCACY - We champion HBCUs, their students, and their alumni by elevating their achievements, strengthening local alumni engagement, and expanding support for the institutions that have transformed generations.
